We build your website first. You only pay if you love it.
01
Brand idea
DaySaw takes the biggest fear out of hiring a web agency: paying for something you haven’t seen. Everything in the brand should feel like proof first, pitch second, from a neighbor who actually picks up the phone.
Central Oregon owner-operators: trades, barbers, clinics, lodging, auto. Busy, skeptical of agencies, judge by results.
The zero-risk local alternative to $5,000 agency deposits and DIY Wix weekends.
Three pillars
Show, don’t pitch
Real live sites and real screenshots beat claims. Lead with the work.
Unmistakably local
Name the towns. Name the trades. Bend, Redmond, Madras, La Pine.
Hands-off for you
Edits by text, leads to your phone, reviews on autopilot.
Personality
02
Voice
Talk like Matt on the phone: short sentences, real numbers, no jargon. If a contractor wouldn’t say it on a job site, rewrite it.
We say
- “Your new website, built before you pay.”
- “Leads text your phone in under 45 seconds.”
- “Text Matt what you want changed.”
- “Keep it or walk away.”
We don’t say
- “0.4s Cloud Edge Speed · LIVE EDGE CDN”
- “Standard SLA: 24 to 48 hours turnaround”
- “MASSIVE VALUE INCLUDED” (all caps hype)
- Emoji as bullet points 🚀⚡✨
One label per action. The primary CTA is always Get my free build. Never “Claim prototype”, “Start trial” and “Build my free web” on the same page.
Numbers in mono. Prices, days and stats sit in JetBrains Mono so they read like a receipt, not a hype line.
Sentence case everywhere. Headlines, buttons, nav. Uppercase is reserved for nothing.
03
Logo
Keep the existing DaySaw serif wordmark. It is the one place serif lives in the system, and its heritage feel balances the modern sans type around it. Don’t redraw it; give it room.

Clear space equals the height of the “D” on every side.
Minimum size 96px wide on screen, 1 inch in print.
Never stretch it, recolor it orange, add gradients or drop shadows, or set it on a busy photo without a solid plate.
Favicon / avatar uses a Basalt square with a Pumice “D” and a small Daybreak dot.
04
Color
Named for the ground DaySaw works on: black basalt, pale pumice, deep juniper, and the first light over the Cascades. Daybreak is the only accent, and it always carries Basalt text, never white.
Proportion
Contrast (WCAG 2.2)
05
Typography
Three families, three jobs. A sturdy grotesk for headlines, a friendly geometric for reading, and a mono for anything you’d see on an invoice.
Keep it or walk away.

Motion
Ease-out cubic-bezier(.16,1,.3,1). Things arrive and settle, they don’t bounce.
Sections fade up once as they enter. Never on every scroll.
The live dot pulses and the client roster scrolls. Nothing else loops.
All of it switches off for visitors who ask. Content is visible without JavaScript.
